Half Dozen (6+) BBS Silkie Hatching Eggs
Enhance your flock with high-quality Black, Blue, and Splash (BBS) Silkie genetics. These eggs are collected from a meticulously managed breeding pen designed for health, temperament, and excellent breed characteristics.
The Breeding Pen
Our BBS pen is a strategic cross focused on producing a beautiful variety of colors and robust chicks:
-
The Hens: Deep, obsidian Black Silkies with exceptional fluff and dark pigmentation.
-
The Roosters: A combination of striking Blue and crisp White roosters, selected for their calm dispositions and correct toe separation.
-
The Potential: This specific combination offers a exciting genetic mix, typically producing a range of Black, Blue, and Splash offspring.
What You Receive
-
6 Premium Eggs: Hand-selected for shell integrity, shape, and cleanliness.
-
Bonus "Insurance" Eggs: We include additional eggs (as available) at no extra charge to help cover potential transit stress.
-
NPIP Certified: We are a Clean/AI Monitored facility (NPIP #52-581), ensuring our birds are tested and maintained under high health standards.
Shipping & Handling
We take immense pride in our "mummy-wrap" packaging style. Each egg is:
-
Rested for 12–24 hours post-collection to stabilize the air cell.
-
Individually secured to prevent movement within the carton.
-
Double-boxed with ample cushioning to minimize vibration and thermal shock.
Important Hatching Policy
While we maintain high fertility in our own incubators and go to great lengths to pack securely, shipped hatching eggs carry inherent risks.
Factors such as rough postal handling, X-ray machines, and variations in individual incubation setups are beyond our control. Because of this, we cannot guarantee a specific hatch rate.
Recommended Arrival Protocol
-
Rest: Once your eggs arrive, place them pointy-side down in a room-temperature egg carton for 24 hours before placing them in the incubator. This allows the air cells to settle.
-
Stable Heat: Ensure your incubator has been running and holding a steady temperature for at least 48 hours prior to adding the eggs.
Happy Hatching!
